Story
Shop Otley is a local online shopping initiative that brings together six of our market town’s best-loved businesses. It was born of the conviction that local and traditional can also be convenient.
The online shop was the brainchild of Tony Garwood, who runs, with his partner, Kay, both the popular O’Deli coffee shop and delicatessen, and O’Fresh, the Otley greengrocers, which sources fruit and veg daily from the local wholesale market. Tony, who has 25 years of business experience internationally and nationally, is now focused on supporting local retailing, which he believes is on the way back. In Otley, in particular, he believes there is a great range of quality, service focused independent retailers – the heart of Shop Otley. Some are new and some have decades of tradition, but all have a commitment to traditional quality, a willingness to innovate and a desire to support the local community with excellent quality and service.
Kay has a passion for creating gluten-free recipes which reflect Shop Otley values. These are now being shared on the Shop Otley site and you can download the recipe and order the ingredients in a convenient package.

Run by Tony & Kay, O'Fresh is a family run business bringing in fresh produce sourced as locally as they can in season, using local suppliers and farms.
Run by Tony & Kay, O'Deli is a family run business nestled in the heart of Otley. Using only the best quality, fresh produce, we create homemade food with Kay's secret recipes, specialising in gluten and dairy free.
Owned and run by Jo and her family, Like Nana Did is Otley's local zero-waste / refill store dedicated to helping the community reduce waste. They sell all kinds of dried goods such as beans, pulses, pastas, rice, flour, sugar, dried fruits, nuts, cereals, herbs and spices, refill household cleaners, soaps and toiletries.
Like Nana Did also sells eco-friendly reusable products such as bamboo toothbrushes, sanitary products, beautiful eco-friendly gifts and much, much more.

All the way back in 1984, Otley’s Bondgate Bakery started with a great deal of determination and a conviction to bake bread the way it used to be. In those days the Enterprise Allowance Scheme awarded budding entrepreneurs £40 a week to set up their own businesses. So that’s what Steve Taylor did.
It is crucial to them that ingredients are pure and unadulterated and instead of being reliant on mixes and additives, Bondgate has always been about real traditional bread making using locally sourced untreated flours.
Middlemiss are a family run traditional butchers shop in the heart of the market town of Otley. Selling only local meats from local farmers at the keenest prices.
